We
don't believe that a single oil can meet every requirement. Please
choose the oil to suit your Turntable components. Our REGULAR oil is similar to an ISO46 lubricant, it is also very similar to REGA oils. Our CLASSIC oil is similar to an ISO68 lubricant, It is also similar to 5W 30W oils, but why use an engine oil in your turntable and experience all the negative aspects of that? Our LIGHT oil is similar to an ISO9 lubricant but it doesn't have the odour of sewing machine oil - so for those of you using that it's time to throw it away.
In 2015 Steiner Music were challenged by two individual European clients to devise a clean and odourless lubricant at a reasonable price for use in Turntables. The results of that challenge are three types of Turntable oils providing good lubricity, high film strength, low evaporation, resistance to emulsion formation and peak performance irrespective of temperature.
